Fight or Die in Vietnam

Fight or Die in Vietnam
Larry was a small-town boy who lived with his mom and dad and worked in the local grocery store. He was a dreamer and wanted to see the world. The military was a way to break away, but he couldn't bear to leave his mom. Fate stepped in and put him in the jaws of death. Will he survive? Less

This is the story about the life of a 19-year-old boy that wanted to see the world...but he didn't want to leave his mom! Was he a whimp? By no means! He loved adventure, but he loved his mom as well and wanted to protect her.
Follow Larry every step of the way; from a go-no-where job in a small town in Texas to the jungles of Viet Nam and everything in between. Through it all, his mom was on his mind.
Here is an excerpt from my story:

"I could hear gunfire on the other side of the compound. My hand was sweating and shaking. I don’t know if I can do this. The sergeant showed up, “Ok. Zappers at the wire. They will be testing our strength so stay alert. Remember, pick your target and don’t go crazy.” Shortly, a couple of VC’s tried to blow a hole in the wire, but before I could shoot, the 50 cal machine gun opened up and took care of that. We relaxed a little. I have been on lots of patrols but nothing like this. The hardest part is just sitting here and waiting; nerve-wracking! I knew the hard part was yet to come. I hate that creepy feeling that something was about to go wrong."
